Which is Healthier?

COOKING WITH GROUND POULTRY IS A TASTY ALTERNATIVE TO GROUND BEEF!

Now some may argue as to whether poultry or beef is healthier. As a rule white meat chicken and turkey are lower in fat and calories plus higher in protein then most cuts of beef.

But truly, cooking with ground poultry is a matter of personal taste preference, and quite simply, many people through the years have gotten away from eating red meat. Those conscious of a good diet are looking for other options to healthy and tasty meals. Cooking with Ground Poultry is one such alternative.

As far as cooking with Ground Poultry, recipes can use either ground chicken or ground turkey (or if you are the gaming type, even ground duck or goose). Your decision is based solely on preference and preferred flavor. There have been times, I preferred ground chicken, it seems a bit sweeter to me, and then times I favored ground turkey that was ground fresh at the local family market. But either poultry can be used in any of the recipes with equal success.

The one thing I do like to let readers know is the recipes I created and have available to you are prepared with a mixture of dark and light ground poultry meats. In other words, they were not made with 100 percent white meat. You can purchase 100 percent ground breast poultry, but the recipes will not come out exactly the same. In most cases they will be a bit drier and have a little less flavor, but this is easily remedied. So if you prefer 100 percent white meat, then the recipes can be reworked usually by simply adding a little more seasoning plus moisture to the recipe in terms of liquid or an additional egg.
